• Farmer Jaithipondaru Chinnamaraya from Burkacharla village, Mothe mandal, Suryapet district, sowed Maa Seed Bhavaswini hybrid chilli on 1 acre using 12 packets, transplanted on raised box-bed.
• Plants grew 4-5 feet tall, with each plant carrying 500-700 pods in three layers (ripe red, green, and flowering) and no leaf curl, virus, fruit-spot or wilt.
• Yield projected 30-40 quintals/acre; only weekly mid-strength sprays needed and no root or stem rot at the nursery or transplant stage.
• Neighbouring chilli farms wiped out by black thrips while this variety held up; seed bought from Hanuman Seeds, Khammam and sold in Khammam market.
