- Yield ramp-up was rough: 1st year 1.5 t on 7 acres, 2nd year similar, 3rd year only 40 of 200 trees fruited due to mistimed pollination – male and female flower at different times, pollen sometimes imported from Gujarat.
- Currently expecting ~60 tonnes total this season; main pests rhinoceros beetle and red palm weevil – 30–40 trees lost despite Rs.10–12K spent each.
